Checker Board

For these nails I was going to just do a simple checker board pattern but then I decided to spice it up a little. On my accent nails, I used the same medium teal but instead of using the very deep teal, I used a lighter blue (think China Glaze For Audrey -- My picture isn't exactly color correct). Then I put dots inside the squares. I ended up liking the darker nails WAY better than the light ones, and if I were to do this again, I might just do all my nails like the index, middle, and pinky. But overall this was a really adorable design that didn't take too much time, and wasn't too bold, so I loved it! Hope you like it too!

Polka Dots

Okay, so Leslie from Polish Art Addiction and I must be on like the same wavelength these last couple of weeks because I painted these nails in early October and just the other day Leslie posted nails that are very similar to these! We both also posted Muppets nails on the same day, weird right? Here are her Muppet nails, and here are mine.

Leslie's version of these nails is much softer and more elegant (BONUS: she also posted a picture tutorial), where as I was trying for some high contrast to be a little Halloween-y. I ended up really liking my thumb, where I alternated the colors creating an almost diagonal effect.

Left Foot Yellow...

That's right, Twister nails! When I was a kid, I was amazing at Twister, I was all flexible and competitive. Now I'm a little bit less of both of those things. But it's still a super fun game. Since I've grown up (a little) I think that Twister was probably made for adults: Kids are small, flexible, and patient while adults are bumbling fools a lot of the time. So now my plan is to find some friends who will play Twister with me!

Polka Dot Experiment

I realized after completing my Hello Kitty nails that I never did  a set of nails devoted to polka dots.  I find that polka dots can be a little boring, so I decided to spice it up by experimenting with different patterns of polka dots on each finger.

My index finger was meant to have the illusion of being very curved, which didn't exactly turn out, but I think it still looks neat.

The thumb and pinky are my favorites and they were inspired by Konad plate #m79. I love trying to copy Konad plates because I have no idea how to use Konad, but they sure have some cool designs!
