Triangles

Wow, sorry for the not-so-hot picture quality. I didn't realize how bad this picture was until I posted it! This design was super hard! The triangle part is actually my natural nail. I didn't use tape (because I have no idea how to), so attempting to freehand perfect triangles was really difficult. I think that designs with an open cut-out like these are called "windows." Does anyone know if that's true? Or if there is another name for designs like this?

Gradient Triangles

This is a really easy pattern that yields an interesting look. To achieve this look first create a gradient nail. Here I used pink, orange and yellow for my gradient. I painted my nails pink, then sponged on the orange in the middle of the nail and finished the gradient with sponged on yellow at the tip of the nail. Then you simply paint the triangle pattern over the finished gradient. Below are some directions that I made on how to paint the triangles. Hope this helps!
